Metal Pressings and Assemblies have been synonymous with Salop Design & Engineering Ltd for nearly 50 years. All activities are located out of the purpose built modern factory based in Shrewsbury, West Midlands. There are 24 mechanical / progression / transfer / hydraulic presses ranging from 110 tonne to 630 tonne.
Salop Design and Engineering Ltd began in 1960 designing press tools for automotive manufacturing companies. The business developed into manufacturing tools it had designed, and then due to demand from the customers started producing metal pressings and assemblies and various other welded components.
Salop Design & Engineering Limited is now one of the leading independently owned Pressworking Companies in the UK. These metal pressings and assemblies are manufactured for a wide variety of different market places, including:

- Domestic Appliances (white goods etc)
- Construction (yellow goods)
- Environmental Services
- Household fittings (quality finishings)
