Salop Design and Engineering Ltd began in 1960 starting out as a design office to serve local industry, mainly designing press tools for automotive manufacturing companies. Investment and changes in market conditions have moved the company forward through tool making and the business developed into manufacturing tools it had designed.

In recent years due to customer demand, Salop Design and Engineering Ltd started producing metal pressings and assemblies as well as various other welded components. At present, the company has an annual turnover of 16 million Euro, dealing not only with companies in the UK, but companies across Europe as well as America.

In 1996 the new factory was constructed and further extended in 2004 to 8000 square metres. This new building allows a very smooth process flow as all the business activities are carried out under one roof, and has provided greater control over the manufacturing processes, which has led to improved quality and delivery performance with reduced stock levels.

Throughout its 50-year life Salop Design and Engineering Ltd has been synonymous with quality, delivery and service.
